Summer Trends I'm Here For
I think it's safe to say my favorite time of year to dress for is spring/summer. I say them mixed because Miami weather is basically the same throughout those seasons, aka hot as f***. I'm all about being able to constantly be in denim shorts, whites, neutrals, linen, bathing suits, sandals, & all that good stuff. I always get so excited to see what's going to be trending when the time comes around & finding all new cute pieces. Because it's about that time, I've decided to round up my favorite trends so far!
Strappy Sandals: I've made these a staple in my closet. White, black, nude, brown... I probably have a strappy sandal in every color & I'm not mad about it. They make for the perfect addition to a simple but cute outfit & talk about comfortable! Throw them on with anything & you're sure to be looking perfect for summer time.
Linen: Anything & everything linen pleaseeee. It's so breathable & perfect for the Miami heat I really can't ask for much more in an outfit. Linen tops, pants, shorts... I'll take them all.
Puff Sleeves: They've been trending since probably like last year & I'm so happy they're here to stay. A puff sleeve elevates any look & makes it look like you put way more effort into an outfit than you really did so I'm here for it.
Mini Dresses: Seriously a dress is the easiest outfit to put together. I love that there's always different prints, colors, & shapes to pick from. You also only have to basically think of one thing when deciding what to wear, so it's a win win situation.
Elevated Athleisure: I've always loved being able to wear leggings, sweatshirts, sneakers, etc. & making them look more elevated than they actually are. BUT... I think now that we've all been home in comfy clothes for four months, people are REALLY going to take advantage of trying to be comfy but cute at all times. Throw on a cropped sweatshirt, cute leggings, your fave sneakers + accessorize & I think it will be socially acceptable on many occasions.
